The government calculated the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2013, based on the rate of 8.11 – 8.2 hryvnia per dollar.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov announced this on Thursday in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels.
"This rate is used when calculating the budget. It must be used because without it we can not calculate the budget. The rate is 8.11 – 8.2 UAH / USD per year. I emphasize that this is an average year rate" – said Azarov.
He stressed that the government is 100-percent certain that in the first half of the year 2013 the rate will be within these limits.
Also Azarov said that there is no reason for the collapse of the rate: Ukraine has foreign exchange reserves in excess of $ 30 billion, Ukrainian economy grows. "There are no fundamental reasons for the collapse of hryvnia" – said Azarov and added that fluctuations within 1% -2% are perfectly normal.
