Age is no obstacle for success. In his 76, the Honored Master of Sports, record holder, coach Volodymyr Striletsky from Vynogradiv is still full of strength and ideas that result in new sporting achievements. He is the leader among veterans in kettlebell juggling not only in Ukraine but also abroad.
Recently, the gray-haired sports veteran came back from Vitebsk in Belarus, where has traditionally participated in the World Championship among juniors, adults and veterans according to the International Federation of Kettlebell Sports.
And, also traditionally, he won gold medals in his age group (75-79 years) in three categories.
But this victory was not easy for him. As the athlete himself told jokingly: "I have three gold medals and one fainting fit. After the competition, I fainted – I had fallen ill back on the way there. When I returned to Vynogradiv, I was even worse. Paid at the pharmacy last 900 hryvnia for medicines, and now I am fit again."
The veteran of sports receives 1,297 UAH of pension. And what do you think he wants to spend it for? For the next sports trip… Really restless!
