A solemn concert dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir took place yesterday in Uzhgorod at the Regional Drama Theater.
Before the concert in the lobby of the drama theater, everyone could view the anniversary exhibition of rare materials and archival exhibits of the choir.
The head of the regional state administration Oleksiy Petrov, Uzhgorod mayor Bohdan Andriyiv and other distinguished guests congratulated the Transcarpathian folk choir on the glorious anniversary. They thanked the leader and inspirer of the choir Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk, the whole team for preserving and increasing the original folk art of our Silver Land, noted that thanks to them the cultural traditions of our region are known throughout Ukraine and abroad.
The Uzhgorod City Council awarded diplomas to orchestra artists Ermila Ullman, Timea Fabian and Yuliana Schreiner, choir artist Roman Moroz, dance group artists Serhiy Andrus and Olga Tysyanchyn, and soloists – Honored Artist of Ukraine Yana Sadvariy and Viktoria Tymko.
The program of the anniversary concert includes works from the "golden" fund, as well as dances from the repertoire of the choir.
