750 million hryvnias are owed to Transcarpathians, or who is stealing our money? (OPINION)

Who is stealing our money? – under this slogan, one of the members of the Transcarpathian Regional Council has published an interesting information

"It’s barbaric and savage "robbery" of Transcarpathian local communities by one of our Transcarpathian state organs – the Treasury. As of 01.01.2014, this "sabotage authority" owes to Transcarpathian local communities more than 600 million hryvnias!" – deputy Anton Zelinsky says.

He laments: "It’s our money, payments and taxes that may have been used for the benefit of our communities, to build schools, kindergartens, to do repairs. In the regional budget, the residual amount is no less impressive – 135 million hryvnias and the debt to the road service is about 20 million! Who knows how to use at least a calculator can easily calculate that in 2013 they just took from us, Transcarpathians, around 750 million hryvnias, and they are not giving it back. What next?"

Because of this, Zelinsky says, "without any political agenda, today, for the first time in 12 year of working in the Transcarpathian Regional Council, I ignored the meeting of the parliamentary committee which was supposed to consider the budget of Transcarpathia for 2014." By the way, the session will be held on Monday, February 3, and the budget will be the main issue to be considered at it.
