7, 3 million hryvnias has been paid to the families and relatives of the killed soldiers in the region

As of September 11, 2014, the Transcarpathian regional military commissariat has received 7.3 million hryvnias from the reserve fund for the payment of one-time financial assistance to family members of the killed servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who participated in the anti-terrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine.

The payments were made in two stages – 4.2 million hryvnias was paid to the family members of 7 soldiers, who died defending the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, another 3 million hryvnias was paid to family members of 5 soldiers, who died heroically performing their duty to the state.

"In addition to those payments, 100,000 UAH was allocated and paid to each family of the killed soldiers from the regional budget Transcarpathian region" – the military commissar of the Transcarpathian RMC, Colonel Ivan Vasyltsyun said.

The procedure for appointment and payment of the financial assistance in case of death or injury of a soldier is determined by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 975 dd. 12.25.2013.
