Yesterday, December 25, the Rescue Service "102" received a report of an accident on the bypass road near the regional center of Transcarpathia. The investigative team at the scene found out that near the checkpoint "Uzhgorod", an accident involving a "Ford Transit Connect" and a "NissanNote" had occurred. According to preliminary information, the driver of the "Nissan" lost control, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with the "Ford".
The female passenger of the "Ford" was delivered to Uzhgorod central city hospital with multiple injuries, the driver of the "Nissan" is in the intensive care unit of the same medical institution. The passenger of the "Nissan", the driver and the passenger of the "Ford" were discharged after receiving medical aid.
The police are ascertaining the cause and circumstances of the accident. A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is violation of traffic safety. The drivers, according to preliminary data, were sober. The investigation continues.
