5-meter-high record Easter egg made of bottle caps was erected in Eastern Slovakia (PHOTOS)

The village of Lemesany of the Prešov District is known for the largest Easter egg in Slovakia. The giant egg was installed in the central square over the weekend.
According to the author of the idea Józef Kuruc, a similar Easter egg was first installed in the village in 2015. It is then dismantled and stored and installed before Easter using a tractor. He added that 200,000 caps were collected to make the largest Easter egg, but only about 60,000 were used now. "The rest will be used for other interesting products that will decorate our village," the sculptor said.
The Easter egg is 5 meters high and 958 centimeters in diameter, with the emblem of the village of Lemesany on four sides. The weight of the polystyrene mega egg is about 600 kilograms. The Easter egg was registered in the Slovak Record Book.
