3rd volume of Serhiy Fedaka’s “History of Ukraine” will be presented in Uzhgorod

The book covers the historical processes on the territory of modern Ukraine from VII century BC to the first centuries AD. The dramatic interrelations of different civilizations, their confrontation and mutual enrichment is traced. The powerful influence of the ancient polises of the Northern Black Sea coast and the rest of the Ukrainian territories is outlined. The evolution of Scythian society in its chronological dynamics, the formation, rise and fall of Scythia are presented, its relationship with pre-Asian and ancient civilizations, as well as with the barbaric neighbors of the Ukrainian forest-steppe is described. The Scythian traditions were followed by the era of the Sarmatians, when the tribal societies of Ukraine were influenced by the Hellenistic and Roman civilizations.
