35 illegals in Transcarpathia were given a status of refugees (+PHOTO)

At the moment in the temporary accommodation centers for refugees (TACR)in Mukachevo  there are 59 people – mostly from Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, Egypt. The majority are children – 32, 8 of which are here unaccompanied. All of them set off to search of a better life in Europe, but were detained at the border.

‘Open centre – says Piotr Rosola, Deputy Director of TACR – no one here forbids people to go into the city. Children study here, particularly in Mukachevo school №16, they have many friends, learn the language. Some of them were even born in TACR.’
The asylum seekers do not complain about the conditions – they say there is everything you need here except for work. In addition, they note: Transcarpathians though being good people, are not always tolerant to other nationalities. Most of the foreigners do not want to go back home – on their own land wars are waged, women raped, children killed.

Since the independence of Ukraine 35 foreign refugees from Afghanistan, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Iran, Syria and Somalia have become official refugees in Transcarpathia. Such a status was plead by 5000 people. No one got Ukrainian citizenship.
