Moskal: "32 social facilities damaged by the storm in June 2018 have been restored at the expense of the reserve fund." The lion’s share of the funds for the relief of the natural disaster consequences came to Transcarpathia just a week and a half ago. Four districts of Transcarpathia (Irshava, Mukachevo, Tyachiv and Khust), that were affected by storm with hail in June this year, received money from the emergency fund only on 19th of December

– The total amount of damage caused by the natural disaster is estimated at 63.7 million hryvnias, – Hennadiy Moskal emphasizes. – That includes the forests, damaged roads, destroyed bridges, damaged roofs on private houses and social facilities, and torn power lines… We should have received from the reserve fund 29.7 million hryvnias for the restoration of the damaged social and infrastructure facilities, instead the Cabinet allocated only 11.2 million hryvnias, which came on December 19.

Knowing in advance that the money may come too late, and repair of the roofs in schools and roads had to be done immediately, we asked the contractors to work on credit. Thus, 32 educational, cultural and health care facilities in the four districts affected by the natural disaster in June this year have been repaired using the funds allocated by the Cabinet.
