30% ‘were hauled’ from the Euro budget

Corruption component in the preparation for European Football Championship in Ukraine may be nearly 30% from 40 billion hryvnia. This opinion was expressed by Yurii Nikolov, co-editor of internet edition ‘Nashi Hroshi’ (‘Our Money’), which specializes in the investigation of corruption cases in public procurement in an interview with Radio ‘Svoboda’.

The number 30% Nikolov considers as ‘magical’ theme for Euro 2012. According to him, 360 million hryvnia were paid on the NSC ‘Olimpiiskyi’ territory construction to the company, whose founder was the owner of 33% of the share capital of the company before the contract conduction.

Meanwhile, the European Parliament is interested in whose pockets went money on the Euro 2012 preparations in Ukraine. Moreover, the investigation will take place on possible corruption during the Euro Tournament preparations. This was stated by the European Deputy Rebecca Harms.
