23 facts of electricity thefts were revealed by workers of the “Zakarpattyaoblenergo” PJSC during the week

From August 6 to August 12, 2018, employees of the Company revealed 23 facts of electric energy theft, the press service of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC reported.
In particular, 18 reports of violation were drawn up against household consumers and 5 reports – against legal entities (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.). 
Most cases of illegal interference in the power grid among households over the past week were found in Tyachiv district (7 violations). The most common violation is interference in the metering device by its damaging (damaged meter housing, broken glass), as well as damaging and removal of seals on metering devices.
In the legal sector, facts of thefts were detected in 4 districts, most of them in Velyky Berezny district (2 violations). The most common violation is interference in the metering device by its damaging (damaged meter housing, broken glass).
Also during the last week, Committees to review reports of violation imposed fines totaling UAH 52.53 thousand, of which:
among households – UAH 39.27 thousand;
among legal entities – UAH 13.26 thousand.
