The best children’s and youth groups and performers of Transcarpathia gather every year at different venue. For example, in 2017, the festival was held in Khust. The purpose of the spiritual event traditionally conducted by the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese in the summer is to pray for peace and God’s grace, as well as to have a good time and see the city.
About fifty participants from Velyky Bychkiv, Rakhiv, Khust, Onok of Vinogradiv district, Letsovytsia of Mukachevo district, Khudlyovo, Nyzhni Vorota and, of course, from Uzhgorod take part in this year’s festival. Genres are varied: from solo singing to choir, pop and rap.
The festival takes place on Teatralna Square near the Philharmonic. Today, the grand opening with the performances of the Transcarpathian soloists and the band "Vandor" took place. Father Nil (Lushchak), the Assistant Bishop of the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese, addressed the participants. He thanked them for participating the festival, wished them God’s grace. The secretary of Uzhgorod City Council Andriana Gabor also greeted the youth.
Tomorrow, August 10, the participants of the festival will be performing from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 16.00 to 19.00.
