Ingenuity of smugglers: cylinders filled with cigarettes
Yesterday, at the checkpoint “Vylok”, border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment prevented another attempt of tobacco smuggling. A 39-year-old Hungarian tried to smuggle cigarettes from Ukraine by hiding them in two gas cylinders. During the customs control, the man could not hide his anxiety, which aroused suspicions of customs officers about the possible transportation of objects and materials hidden from border control. Hence, the foreigner’s vehicle was taken out of the general queue for in-depth inspection.
Red Cross Month is Uzhgorod
The traditional Nationwide Month of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine will take place from 1 to 30 of April. Uzhgorod will also take part in it.

Today, around midnight, a bus “NEOPLAN” arrived at the checkpoint to leave Ukraine to Hungary.
