It is not the first time Zahorska street becomes a place of accident. This time a correspondent of Uzhgorod in managed to capture an accident involving two cars. It happened about an hour ago. The cause of the accident is currently being established by relevant authorities that urge to be careful on the roads. They emphasize: lives of drivers, car passengers and pedestrians depend on this.

Mukachevo firefighters saved a furniture company from fire

In Mukachevo, there was a fire at one of the existing furniture enterprises on Svalyava street. The hearth of the fire was the room of the drying chamber. The facility’s security reported on the fire. Within minutes, departments of Mukachevo State Fire and Rescue Units 18 and 19 arrived at the scene. Firefighters of the fire brigade of the village of Dertsen and the enterprise fire brigade also helped the professionals. Thanks to timely report, the fire had not yet become rampant. The cause of the fire and the damage caused are now being established.

55 pillows, 51 of which are handmade. Embroidered in cross-stitches, satin stitches, classic, modern. 15 masters from Vynogradiv, Korolevo, Oleshnyk, Novoselytsia, Onok, Sasovo. Among the exhibits, there are family heirlooms, including pillows from 1920s of Maria Vihula from Korolevo. Each work is unique and deserves special attention. For example, the pillowcase of Melania Balazs woven by the master in 1980. 72-year-old Irina Hovban-Tudovshi from Novoselytsia exhibited her pillows that she embroidered in her younger years, but still uses in everyday life. The exhibition is complemented with interior corners – gramophone, handmade carpets. This creates in the museum a a homely atmosphere of warmth, coziness and comfort. The exhibition will run until September 11.

Slovaks detained illegal migrants from Ukraine again

Two kilometers from the Ukrainian-Slovak border, in the village of Petrovce, Slovak police detained two Chechens.

The migrants were hiding in the woods, did not have any documents. They had illegally crossed the Ukrainian-Slovak border. First, they were taken to the police station, and later, after the identification, they were returned to Ukrainian border guards.
