The prosecutors arrested the deputy chief of the Border Guard Service department while receiving a bribe in amount of more than $ 1,000

Today, July 1, prosecutors of Transcarpathian region, together with officers of the department for countering of economic crime of the MIA Office in Transcarpathian region, arrested the deputy chief of the Border Guard Service department while receiving 1,020 U.S. dollars of undue benefit.

According to the head of the investigation department of the regional Prosecutor’s Office Ivan Bitlyan, in return for these funds, the border guard promised a Transcarpathian to assist, using his official position, in illegal transportation of 10 boxes of tobacco products across the state border of Ukraine.

Currently, the deputy chief of the Border Guard Service department was detained according to Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine, priority investigation measures are being taken.

A meeting on repairs of Uzhgorod schools was held at the Regional Council

At the meeting initiated by the Chairnan of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko, they analyzed the progress of the works on the reconstruction of the facade of the “Uzhgorod Economic Lyceum – school №9”. The meeting was attended by the City Council Secretary Bogdan Andriyiv, the head of the capital construction department of the City Council Adam Yurko, the deputy head of the Architecture and Urban Planning Department of the Regional State Administration Oleg Borshovsky, the Acting Chief Architect of the city Mykhailo Ivehesh, the contractors.

The update of the school facade started in the summer. The Regional Council allocated 500,000 UAH for the repair.

The Secretary of the City Council Bogdan Andriyiv says: the city and regional authorities intend to make Uzhgorod a European city. “And the planned works must be performed. The process of the school facade repair is ongoing and it is being performed properly. Foam will be used exclusively for decorative elements, not for insulation”, – the Secretary of the City Council says.

The Deputy Head of the Architecture and Urban Planning Department Oleg Borshovsky said that the contractor, the designer and the technical supervisor are responsible for the works performed. “The most important thing is that the repair goes on. And it is being done according to the approved project,” – the architect says.

Volodymyr Chubirko noted that the facility would be completed by September 1. “The Regional Council this year provided a record amount of funding for educational institutions of the city. We have been and will continue supporting the city. The more facades in Uzhgorod are updated, the better for the city. And our task is to make the city better, more attractive to investors and tourists. No libel on social networks will stop us”, – the Chairman of the Regional Council concluded.

Overall, this year, nearly 10 million hryvnia has been allocated from the regional budget for educational institutions of the city. Primarily, it is allocation of funds for the installation of energy-saving technologies – replacement of windows, insulation of facades. The funds have been allocated for 15 educational institutions.

This time the equipment from Tyachiv district will be delivered for the needs of the 128th Brigade, in particular the 4th Battalion, where Transcarpathians serve.

It is much needed at the front, which the soldiers have repeatedly told volunteers. So, a GAZ-66 and a UAZ will be useful in deployment and performance of various tasks.

Until now, the car “GAZ-66” has been on the balance sheet of the “Transcarpathian plant “Elektroavtomatyka” PJSC (Director Mykola Levitsky).

It was repaired by volunteers from Teresva Yuriy Danyluk, Roman Kozar and Vasyl Mutsyk. It took almost a week for workers to repair it. And then, they tested the truck on mountain roads. So they assure that it will reliably serve soldiers on the frontline.

The UAZ, which can be used as an ambulance vehicle, was donated to the battalion by Tyachiv district hospital №1. And the funds for the necessary parts, including fuel, were provided by the Acting Head of Tyachiv District State Adminstration Vasyl Yovdiy.

He personally handed the car keys to a soldier of the 4th Battalion of the 128th Brigade Vasyl Chendey from Teresva, who will escort the car to Kramatorsk. To save fuel, they will loaded onto a truck, and thus transported to the East.

Also, the head of the district wished volunteers safe trip, soldiers – successful service and speedy return home alive and healthy.

Traditionally, before delivery, the vehicles were consecrated.

Ukraine has suspended the import of gas through Hungary

Ukraine has suspended the import of gas through Hungary.

This is illustrated by the Hungarian gas transmission system operator FGSZ Ltd, the “Ukrainski Novyny” reported.

Also, according to the Slovak GTS operator Eustream, under the nomination for July 1, Ukraine reduced the import of gas through Slovakia by 34.6%, or 7.2 million cubic meters / day to 13.6 million cubic meters / day compared to late June.

According to the spokesman of the “Ukrtransgaz” Maxim Bilyavsky, as of July 1, the central control department of the national gas transportation system operator has not received nominations for import of natural gas from Hungary.

As is known, on June 25, Ukraine and Hungary started testing the gas Interconnector under the new agreement, which allows to carry out so-called virtual reverse supply and eliminate intermediary of the “Gazprom” starting July 1, 2015.

As reported, on May 29, operators of gas transport systems of Ukraine and Hungary signed an agreement on interconnector, which provides for the exchange of data on the work of cross-border gas pipelines that will help to exclude the Russian “Gazprom” from current relations between Ukraine and the EU.

The capacity of the interconnector in the direction of Hungary is 26 billion cubic meters a year, in the direction of Ukraine – 6.1 billion cubic meters per year.

In Irshava district, a driver knocked down a cross

The accident occurred on Monday near the village of Vilkhivka in Irshava district.

The driver of a car “Fiat”, while overtaking another vehicle, lost control and knocked down a concrete cross on the side of the road.

The female passenger died from injuries at the scene. The driver died in an ambulance vehicle.

The traffic accident in Uzhgorod, on Gagarin street involved a scooters and a bus. The scooter driver was delivered to Uzhgorod city hospital.

Yesterday at 14.35, Uzhgorod city police received a report that on Gagarin street in the regional center, there had been an accident involving a scooter and a bus.

The management, the investigative team of the city police and Uzhgorod traffic police officers arrived at the scene. It turned out that the driver of the scooter was injured as a result of the accident. The victim was taken to the hospital.

As it became known from the press officer of the regional traffic police, the scooter driver died from his injuries in the hospital intensive care. He was a resident of Uzhgorod, born in 1959.

The incident was registered in the Journal of statements and reports

on committed criminal offenses and other incidents of Uzhgorod city police.

Currently, the city police officers are investigating into the matter, Uzhgorod city police department informed.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred because the scooter driver had braked suddenly to make a turn.

In Ukraine, beer was equated to wine and vodka

The amendements to the Tax Code passed by the Parliament in 2014 on equating beer to alcoholic beverages took effect on July 1.

According to the adopted amendments, beer advertising on television and radio during the day, as well as outdoor advertising shall be prohibited, the “Interfax-Ukraine” informed.

As reported, the certification and licensing of beer production, product conformity certificate, license for import and export of beer shall be introduced.

Additionally, new requirements for the labeling of products shall be provided, and the use of branded equipment, furniture, glasses, umbrellas; sponsorship of sports teams shall be prohibited.

Also producers of beer with the strength of more than 8.5% will be required to use excise stamps like those for wines and spirits.
