Customs officers in Transcarpathia confiscated an “iron horse” of the German car industry
A Ukrainian tried to import from Hungary to Ukraine a 20-year-old “Opel Vectra” with counterfeit documents. he decided to cross the border at the checkpoint “Luzhanka” of the Transcarpathian customs office.
As a citizen, who is not carrying anything prohibited and hiding nothing from customs control, the Ukrainian chose the “green corridor” and presented all the necessary documents for inspection. However, the customs officers had doubts about the validity of the power of attorney for the right to use the car. To confirm or refute their doubts, they sent a letter of request to the notary specified in the documents submitted for customs clearance. As a result, the notary replied that he had not certified the power of attorney and that this document was forged.
Thus, the citizen of Ukraine moved the car across the customs border of Ukraine by submitting to the customs office a forged document: authorization for the use of the vehicle.
These actions contain signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the car was seized, its value is being established.
In Uzhgorod, 6 million was spent for road repairs
Just over six million hryvnia was spent in Uzhgorod last year for road repairs. This represents only 17% of the yearly funding.
A little over one million was used for the reconstruction of area of Teatralna Square-Korzo Street-Voloshin Street, Hranitna and Peremoha Streets.
Almost one million and a half was spent for the overhaul of 27 city streets. Another 34 thousand was allocated for overhaul of sidewalks on four streets. Also block territories on 27 streets were repaired. A third of a million was allocated for these works. For repair of four bridges, road builders received only 22 thousand.
The rest of the money was spent on current road maintenance.
Near Ivanivtsi, a cyclist was hit by a bus
The cyclist, who died last Thursday on the road Uzhgorod-Mukachevo near the village of Ivanivsti on Mukachevo district, was hit by the driver of a bus “Setra”.

Criminal proceeding against Uzhgorod city council officials was initiated
The land in the historic area of Uzhgorod worth nearly 1 million hryvnias was privatized illegally.
The Prosecutor’s Office initiated criminal proceeding against Uzhgorod city council officials on charges of abuse of office at the disposal of land resources of the city community.
According to the head of the department for organization of the protection interests of citizens and the state in courts Ivan Kostiv: “It is established that officials Uzhgorod City Council. in violation of the Land Code of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine “On the assessment of property, property rights and professional valuation activities in Ukraine”, in 2013, illegally disposed of the land in area of over 13 thousand. m. sq., on Voloshin street in Uzhgorod, which subsequently was privatized by a private entity.”
The said land, according to the land legislation and the legislation on the protection of cultural heritage, belongs to to the lands of historical and cultural significance with particular scientific, aesthetic, historical and cultural value and can not be transferred to private ownership.
The regulatory monetary value of the land at the time of disposal was nearly 1 million hryvnia.
