Transcarpathian workers who go abroad are fleeceed of 200 EUR for military office certificates

As Mukachevo.Net has learned, customs officers and border guards were not awaiting for the parliamentary approval of mandatory provisions related to military office certificated necessary for traveling abroad, and have already established their “rates”.

According to their informer, people, especially from rural areas, who are not fully aware of mobilization are asked for certificates from the military registration office.

Of course, nobody had these certificates. So, they had to pay brive of 200 euros per person – 100 to customs officer and 100 to border guard.

This corrupt system, as per source, is already in place for several days at all the border-crossing points.

Thus, even without formal introduction, we can see what threats may face the initiative of the General Staff and Ministry of Defense to limit travel for recruits. This is another way to state racketeering and corruption.

Charity auction for the needs of ATO participants will be held in Khust on St. Valentine’s Day

This proposal was announced at the meeting of school students yesterday, February 3. The children decided to prepare Valentine letters and sweet pastries for the holiday.

Then they will organize a fair and present all their handmade products, and the raised funds will be given to the needs of the military in the ATO area.

Children urge all students to get involved into the charitable event in Khust, informs Khust district council.

In the Carpathians there may be avalanches

Cloudy weather was observed last day in the highlands. In the afternoon it was snowing lightly, rainfall reached about 3 mm. The temperature during the day was 7-9°C below zero.
During the day cloudy weather, sometimes light snow is expected. Southwest wind will be about 5-10 m/s.The temperature during the day will be 2-4°C and 4-6°C below zero at night.

Snow cover on steep slopes is not fixed (moderately or poorly) and not compacted, so avalanches are possible with a little additional load on steep slopes. Spontaneous asccent of small and medium-sized avalanches and cornices is possible.

February 4 in the highlands of Transcarpathian region the avalanche hazard will still remain.

Volodymyr Chubirko: “Uzhgorod Vodokanal should notbe postponed for the money shall not fall from heaven “(OPINION)

Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council shared his thoughts on the status of Vodokanal of Uzhgorod on its Facebook page :

“Back to water issue again. A few weeks ago I wrote that the mayor, the city council, and management of water utility should immediately take steps to change the rules of the company and establish effective managerial work to avoid the growth of debt and prevent disconnection from the city water supply. I warned that to resolve the situation as it was last year (when the regional council closed the water utility debts to “Zakarpattyaoblenergo”, using the opportunity to repay the difference in rates of almost 15 million UAH) will no longer be possible. They did not hear me. And now it is too late. But smart politicians who are happy to build their PR in an emergency situation have already emerged.

None of Uzhgorod Mayors – neither the current one, nor his predecessors – have done anything to resolve the situation with the accumulation of debt, and only waited until the money would “fall from the sky” – from the region or Kyiv. In the current political and economic conditions that should not be expected. We need to start working, improve efficiency, reduce costs, update network, and implement management of European standard. And, most importantly, eradicate corruption in the company. With such a high price for water supply, Uzhgorod residents should not hear about any debts of Vodokanal debt “- summed up Volodymyr Chubirko.

In Uzhhorod 4 streets will be without electricity today

In Uzhhorod residents of 4 streets will stay without electricity today, the village of Haydosh will be cut off completely. From 9.00 to 16.00 and power engineers will conduct routine and preventive maintenance works.

In the regional center, the streets of Kotlyarevsky, Dunaevsky, Grabar and Kapushanska (soft drinks plant) may be disconnected from electricity.

In Haydosh village it is planned to complete the repair of transformer substation and replace the machine L-1 “Selo”.

In Berehovo district drunken man’s sister-in-law happened to come in the heat of the moment

Berehovo police department received a call from 27-year-old resident of one of the villages of Berehovo district. The woman complained about her brother-in-law who beat her.

The head of the family came back home drunk. When he met his wife in the courtyard, they started to quarrel. Her sister who just came to visit them started to defend her. Drunken man did not like it and he accused his guest in his family troubles, struck the girl and pushed her down the stairs. As a result she injured her knee.

Upon this fact criminal proceedings under Part 1 of the Art.125 (intentional minor bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine have been initiated. The maximum penalty for committing the crime specified under the relevant article is corrective labor for up to one year.

In Vynohradiv disctrict the theft of welding machine was detected

Vynohradiv police department received anappeal from Pidvynohradiv village resident. The woman reported that unknown person stole Kaiser electric welding machine from her house.

Then the policemen managed to get on the trail of the thief.

He was previously convicted 19-year resident of the same village, who was repeatedly called to be liable for similar crimes.

The device was removed. According to the thief, he intended to sell it.

Upon this fact, criminal proceedings under Part 3 of the Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Theft, coupled with the penetration into housing) has been initiated. Pre-trial investigation is on-going.
