Crash Course: Understanding Europe

27.02.2015

23th and 24th of February, the NGO “Transcarpathian community” together with the European Youth Parliament and supported by the Schwarzkopf Stiftung conducted the EU Crash Course: Understanding Europe.

Among the participants of the course, there were teachers and students who were trying to figure out the structure that the European Union has currently.

Thanks to the class, during which a teacher is seen by students in a different light, and for a while also becomes a student, the communication between them is facilitated.

This event is a part of the project, which has been held since 2009 in eleven European countries. The course focuses on introduction to the history and structure of the European Union, improvement of communication and understanding between different European countries. It also improves language skills, as classes are conducted in English.

“In general, – as noted by the coach Galina Virt – the course was successful because the children have expressed interest, and this is the most important indicator of success. The classes were held in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.”

“The implementation of the initiative is carried out as part of the Understanding Europe with the support of the Student government of Uzhgorod”
