MOD: 71.7% of Ukrainians subject to mobilization have received call-up paper

This was reported today at the briefing of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Mobilization to the ranks of the Armed Forces is going as planned; as of January 25, 61,747 persons subject to mobilization have been notified, which accounts for 71.7% of the planned activities, the needs for mobilization of civilian equipment are fully identified.

As part of the fourth wave of mobilization, the single register of persons subject to military service is being fromed. At this stage, this register will include those who evade mobilization. Later, the lists will be submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Staff of Armed Forces, where the appropriate measures for punishment will be taken.

Now, all military offices of the country are delivering calls and medical commissions are carrying out examination to assess health and fitness for military service of the persons who have received calls.

Following the medical examination, the degree of fitness for military service, the military branches, where a mobilized person will be serving, is determined. The main focus is on the psychological selection of mobilized persons.

The Ministry of Defence has reliable information on the preparation of provocations by pro-Russian forces to disrupt mobilization, picketing of military offices buildings involving interested media and so on.

On January 28-30, the active phase of the mobilization process – despatching to military offices – will take place.

A drunken resident of Mukachevo was caught carrying drugs

A police officer not only stopped an administrative offense, but also found the illegal storage of narcotics. A previously convicted resident of Mukachevo will be prosecuted.

Around lunch time, in the park on Fedorov Square in Mukachevo, a local policeman Sviatoslav Kostovsky noticed a drunk man who was bothering passersby in a public place. The policeman rushed to stop the offense.

The man was invited to the police station. While they were drawing up the protocol under Part 2 of Art. 178 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (drinking alcoholic beverages in places prohibited by law), the man was visibly nervous, and a few minutes later, his behavior became clear. During personal inspection of the Mukachevo resident’s belongings, the police officer found in his jacket pocket a syringe with a substance similar to a drug. The man explained that it was only for his own use…

As it turned out, the 33-year-old offender had had a criminal record.

The confiscated substance was sent to the Police Forensic Research Center for examination. This fact was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations, the criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art. 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal possession of drugs without intent to sell) was initiated. The preliminary inquiry is ongoing.

The City Council wants to spend 210 thousand for the strategy development (document)

Uzhgorod city council plans to spend 210,000 UAH for drafting the program for the preparation of the city development strategy for the period up to 2025.

95 thousand is planned to be spent for drafting the Strategic Plan of the City Development, another 75 thousand will be paid for the socio-economic analysis of the main trends of Uzhgorod development for the period of 2008-2013.

40,000 UAH is planned to be written off for the sociological research. The money from the city treasury is planned to be spent during the first half of this year.
