In Rakhiv district, a swindler cheated a pensioner out of one thousand dollars
Yesterday, a pensioner, a resident of the village of Velyky Bychkiv reported to Rakhiv district law enforcement officers that an unknown person had called on her cell phone from an unidentifiable number and said that her son was in trouble and she had to transfer 1,000 dollars to settle it.
The woman transferred to the specified account 13,400 UAH and only then called her son. It turned out that he was fine, and had not been detained for violation of the law.
In Beregovo district, unknown persons demanded 200 thousand from an unemployed man
Yesterday at 15.10, an unemployed resident of the village of Batyovo reported to Beregovo District Police that unknown persons had demanded money from him.
According to him, around 13.20, three unknown persons came to his house by a car “Opel” and, threatening with physical violence, demanded from him 11,000 euros that he allegedly owed to someone, after which they left to an unknown destination.
The police are looking for the offenders.
