At the session of the Uzhgorod City Council, the deputies approved the Program for the support of civil society institutions of the city for 2019, – the City Hall informs.
The primary goal of the Program is to support the public organizations of the city of Uzhgorod. The main areas of activity within the framework of the Program are activities on social protection of veterans, persons with disabilities, children and needy elderly people, persons in difficult living conditions; payment of lease and utilities bills for the enterprises providing them; organization and holding of "round tables" and training seminars on social protection issues; monitoring the availability of certain facilities; development of charity and volunteer activity; provision of methodological, consultative and other assistance to civil society institutions and authorities, etc.
It is planned to allocate UAH 200 thousand for the implementation of this target program in 2019.
In particular, UAH 131 thousand is provided for the support of Uzhgorod social public organizations that were receiving funding during 2016-2018 and have submitted plans of activities for 2019.
Also, UAH 69 thousand is provided for the support of two social public organizations of Uzhgorod based on the results of the competition.
