The program includes not only a competition, but also the creation of the Carving Alley, master classes in wood carvings, a fair, a lot of useful and interesting things, as well as a concert program, many contests and surprises, the Mukachevo.Net reported.
The first such festival in Ukraine will be held on November 9-11 in the village of Velyky Bychkiv in Rakhiv district.
The names of the masters will be engraved on a wooden information board.
Some of the works will be sold during the festival at the auction.
According to the director of Velyky Bychkiv boarding school Liliya Ilchuk, they decided to cut old trees near the school, in order to show the children how to combine the art of ancestors with modern art.
It should be noted that most of the carvers in Transcarpathia live in Rakhiv district, and the purpose of the festival is to popularize and revive this ancient craft.
The holiday will become another occasion to visit the picturesque and talented Rakhiv district.
