2 thousand hryvnias for sex services

On Saturday, July 4, officers of the Department for Combating Crimes Related to Trafficking in Human Beings in Transcarpathia region, together with police officers from Mukachevo district, found out the fact of pimping organized by a 22-year-old woman. 
Police officers found out that a resident of Beregovo arranged for her 25-year-old friend to provide a resident of Beregovo district sex services for a monetary reward. The agreed payment amounted to about 2 thousand hryvnias. The pimp arranged a meeting in one of the hotels in Mukachevo. 
According to the Communications Department of the Transcarpathia regional police, the woman’s actions constitute an offense under Part 2 of Article 302 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (establishment or maintenance of brothels and pimping), which is punishable by restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for the same period.
