10 million hryvnias were divided between 18,000 Transcarpathian families within the program "State support for the livestock industry"
On Wednesday, January 9, the deputy head of the region Mykhailo Popovich announced this to reporters during a briefing. According to the Deputy Head, in 2012, the state support for agricultural production was expanded to cover medium and small producers. This particularly concerns the special fiscal subsidies for the maintenance and preservation of calves aged 3 to 15 months.
There are other programs in the region that are designed to financially support agriculture in the region.
Mykhailo Popovich also told about the innovation in land relations. As of January 1, agricultural inspection shall monitor the relationship of the owner of land and the tenant.
– Unfortunately, not all owners of land in the region have legal proof of ownership of the land. This will cause problems both for themselves and for those who rent the land.
During the briefing they also discussed the construction of bypass road in Rakoshyno, Mukachevo district. In the summer of 2012 at the regional level they established the Commission, which coordinates the work associated with preparations for the construction of the highway.
– In February in Kyiv, they will submit budget proposals for financing of purchase of land and the construction of the road. I think by that time all the land issues associated with the preparation to the construction will have been solved, – said Mykhailo Popovich.
