17 boxes of tobacco products and two persons involved in smuggling were detained by Ukrainian and Hungarian border guards

Last night in Transcarpathia, border guards of the department of inspectors of the Border Guard Service "Vylok" of the Mukachevo detachment, together with their Hungarian counterparts, prevented an attempt of tobacco smuggling across the state border.
In total, the smugglers planned to smuggle 17 boxes of tobacco products across the Tisa river, which forms the border with Hungary. As a result of the coordinated actions by the border guards of both countries, the illegal operation was stopped. In addition, Ukrainian border guards detained two Ukrainian citizens aged 23 and 26 years old, most likely involved in the tobacco smuggling.
Both men were taken to the border guard unit to draw up reports on the administrative offense provided for in Part 2 of Art. 204 of the CAO. The case has been referred to court. The found tobacco products will be handed over to SFS employees.
