15 Transcarpathian entrepreneurs lost their licenses for selling alcohol and cigarettes to minors

Since the beginning of 2012, 17 cases of selling such goods to persons who are not 18 years of age have been recorded.
The bodies of the state tax service in the regions applied to entrepreneurs financial penalties totaling in nearly 116,000 UAH. In addition, 15 entities had their licenses for retailing of alcoholic beverages and tobacco revoked.
According to the Law of Ukraine "On state regulation of production and turnover of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products", the seller of beer, liquor and alcoholic beverages or tobacco products shall, in case of doubt about the age, read a passport or other document that proves the age of a buyer. If a buyer refuses to provide such document, the sale of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products shall be prohibited, – informed the State Tax Service in Transcarpathian region.
