14 meters of falling water is the Transcarpathian Shypit (PHOTOS)

The waterfall Shypit especially attracts travelers with its irresistible coolness and enigmatic water power in the warm year season. There you can look around and see other Carpathian natural charms, besides, there are a lot of place on the local value reserve ‘Vodopad Shypit’ (‘Waterfall Shypit’) territory where you can have a rest. But the most everyone stay near the falling from 14-meter height water, make photos in front of several stages, rejoicing to the pleasant roar of rapid flow and putting hands and faces close to the sensitive pure mountain water spots.

The waterfall is located within the Mizhgiria district, near 10 km from the railway station Volovets, 6 km from the village of Pylypets, hiding in the deep gorge of the river Pylypets (tributary Repynka, Tysa River basin), on the mountain range Polonyna Borzhava northern slopes, at the mountain Gemba foot (at the height of 744 m.n.r.m.). You can get there through the village of Podobovets. Besides tourists, this place attracts holiday-makers from the nearest resorts and sanatoriums, school children, foreigners and those wishing to exotically spend time – the informal festival, on which hippies and representatives of different subcultures from the former Soviet Union countries come to celebrate Ivana Kupala holiday at the night of July 7 has been holding there since 1993.
