On Wednesday and Thursday, 22 – 23 of March, 13 students and a pregnant teacher from the secondary school of the village of Nyzhnye Selyshche in Khust district were delivered to Khust district hospital.
The patients were admitted with vomiting, fever and bowel disorders. Of the 13 hospitalized children, seven are students of grade 1, five – grade 4, and one – grade 3. The children’s condition at admission was of moderate severity, as of 14:00 Thursday, doctors managed to stabilize and improve the health of the patients.
The preliminary diagnosis of the patients is gastroenterocolitis.
The Department of Health, the Department of Education of the Regional State Administration and the Main Office of the National Police in the region were instructed to promptly conduct a comprehensive investiagation into the incident, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs.
