More than 6 thousand packs of cigarettes were found last night at the checkpoint "Dyakove" on the border with Romania by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment together with customs officers.
A minibus Mercedes Sprinter with a trailer driven by a 57-year-old citizen of Ukraine arrived at the checkpoint at 02.30 am. During an in-depth inspection, a joint inspection team found in the double bottom of the trailer hidden 6020 packs of cigarettes of various brands.
The tobacco products, the minibus and the trailer were seized in accordance with the law. The value of the seized items is being established.
