On April 14, authorized searches were conducted in Transcarpathian region, which resulted in the shutdown of 10 gambling establishments operating in contravention of the Law of Ukraine "On the prohibition of gambling business in Ukraine", the press service of the Transcarpathian Prosecutor’s Office informs.
The searches were conducted on the territory of the city of Uzhgorod, the city of Chop, Uzhgorod district, the city of Vynogradiv, Vynogradiv and Tyachiv districts.
Law enforcement officers found and seized 125 units of computer equipment, 4 tables (roulettes), cash in the amount of UAH 128 thousand, mobile phones, TV, Wi-Fi routers, modems, cash register, webcam, hard drives, switches, and other devices, flash drives, a safe, and other documentation.
In addition, a Volkswagen Passat and a Toyota Cruiser were seized, an RGD-5 grenade with a fuse and handwritten documents that were damaged by a suspect were found there and, consequently, seized.
At present, the necessary investigative actions are being carried out to identify witnesses and persons involved in the organization of the gambling business.
