In Uzhgorod, the police detained a criminal duo of car burglars (VIDEO)

In Uzhgorod, on Petofi Square, unknown persons robbed a parked Skoda Octavia. Probably, the car was opened using a special scanner that reads the security alarm code. About 6,700 euros and 1,800 dollars, as well as valuables, were stolen from the car. The victim, a 37-year-old man from Uzhgorod, immediately appealed to the police.  
Detectives found out that three Uzhgorod residents aged 57, 42 and 38 were involved in the crime. All three have previously been prosecuted.  
Transcarpathian police conducted a special operation and detained two criminals at the entrance to the regional center. 
During a search of the suspects’ car and apartments, the police seized material evidence, including some stolen money, stolen items, as well as walkie-talkies and other items allegedly used at the time of the crime. 
Investigators of the Uzhgorod Police Department have launched criminal proceedings over the incident. 
Two suspects have already been detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention facility. The third accomplice, a 38-year-old Uzhgorod resident, is currently wanted. 
During the documentation, investigators will check this group for involvement in similar crimes in Uzhgorod and the region. The pre-trial investigation into the case is ongoing.
