On October 17, 2020 in Budapest, the World Peace Federation awarded the virtuoso guitarist, composer, candidate of art history of Transcarpathian origin Ferenc Bernath the title of Ambassador of Peace. This is stated on the musician’s page.
The Ambassador of Peace is a person who dedicates himself to a vocation that strengthens universal, moral and family values, interfaith and interethnic relations, promotes the renewal of the UN and the creation of a culture of peace.
Ferenc Bernath was born in Ukraine and graduated from Kharkiv State University of Arts.
Now he is living in Budapest, he is an internationally recognized musician, concert virtuoso, composer and teacher of classical guitar.
He is a laureate of numerous state awards of Hungary and a laureate of international music competitions.
Even during the spring quarantine in 2020, he did patronage work, namely, he founded the all-Ukrainian online music competition "Apoyando Art" to support young talents of Ukraine. In this competition, participants received cash prizes. The maestro plans to hold this competition every year.
In 2017, he was elected an honorary member of the Association of Guitarists of the National All-Ukrainian Music Union.
After receiving the title of Ambassador of Peace, Ferenc Bernath wrote on his Facebook page:
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for recognizing me worthy of this award. I will continue my charitable mission with renewed vigor and even greater devotion."
