In Transcarpathia, the SBU prevented the illegal export of components for military aircraft (PHOTOS)

The Security Service of Ukraine prevented the illegal export of dual-use goods subject to mandatory export control. 
SBU operatives and investigators found out that a resident of Chernivtsi region had secretly tried to smuggle to one of the European countries 7 watches, which are used in military aviation as components for aircrafts. The man was transporting the illegal cargo in his own minibus. Police detained the vehicle with the goods at the checkpoint "Dyakovo" in Transcarpathian region. Investigators of the security service opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 333 (violation of the procedure for international transfers of goods subject to state export control) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Priority investigative actions are underway. The measures to prevent illegal activities were carried out jointly with the Transcarpathian Customs of the State Customs Service, the State Border Guard Service under the procedural control of the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
