In the village of Chervone, Uzhgorod district, the driver of a car Hyundai hit a cyclist. This was reported by the communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police.
The man died on the spot from his injuries
Yesterday, October 2, at about 8:30 pm, the police received a report of a traffic accident involving a cyclist in the village of Chervone in Uzhgorod district.
Policemen of the Uzhgorod District Police Department and medics arrived at the scene. According to preliminary data, the 52-year-old driver of Hyundai Santa FE, driving in the direction from the city of Chop to the village of Velyka Dobron, hit a cyclist. The victim died at the scene of the accident. He was a 50-year-old resident of the village of Petrivka, Uzhgorod district. The car was driven by a resident of Beregovo district. According to the medical examination, the man was sober.
Police investigators registered the fatal traffic accident in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under the classification of Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The case is under pre-trial investigation.
