Police will send “phantom patrols” on the roads: how they will work

The police will introduce new methods to detect violators on the roads – "phantom patrols".
This was announced on September 8 during a briefing by the First Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police Department Oleksiy Biloshitsky
The best practices in the field of road safety prove that along with the system of automatic recording, there should be systems for recording offenses in a non-automatic mode. One of the effective methods is to record while moving in a police car.
“A device, which will allow to record the offenses around a moving police car, will be installed in the patrol car. That is, it will be possible to record violations of speed limit by cars moving in the same or opposite directions. This will allow a police officer to be mobile and provide an additional method for prevention of violations,” – Oleksiy Biloshitsky said.
It is planned that by the end of the year four test complexes will appear on the roads of Ukraine, and another 300 patrol cars equipped with such systems will appear in the next few years.
