Representatives of the Uzhgorod City Council discussed the partnership with Romanian counterparts

Further partnership of Uzhgorod with Romanian counterparts was discussed yesterday at a meeting of the participants of the online project "Development of cross-border culture: restored theaters Satu Mare and Uzhgorod" funded under the Joint Operational Program (JOP) Romania – Ukraine 2014 – 2020. 
  
The goals of the projects are repairs in the theaters of Satu Mare and Uzhgorod, cross-border theater festivals, increasing the tourist attractiveness of the cross-border region. 
The main beneficiary, the municipality of Satu Mare, initiated a working meeting of partners: representatives of the Executive Committee of the Uzhgorod City Council and the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater of the Transcarpathian Regional Council.  
Implementation of the project began on August 11, 2020, yesterday the first such meeting on the project was attended by the administrator of the executive committee of Uzhgorod City Council Olena Makara, the head of the Department of International Cooperation and Innovation Victoria Tarakhonych, her deputy Dmytro Miroshnikov, the director of the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater Vasyl Mariukhnych, the head of the Department of International Cooperation of Satu Mare Andrea Sveda, the Project Coordinator (Satu Mare) Mirela Pinte. 
They discussed, in particular, the calendar plan of activities, the procedure for registration of the project by the Ukrainian national program management body. They also agreed on a plan for holding press conferences, the next such event will take place on September 23 in Satu Mare, and in October – in Uzhgorod.
