The first bench with solar panels has been installed in Uzhgorod

"This bench was installed with the support of the US Agency for International Development "USAID" within the project "Accelerator of important ideas." The idea is not just to install a bench with solar panels, but to demonstrate the possibilities and benefits of alternative energy sources. The installed bench will allow you to charge four gadgets at the same time using the available connectors," – the head of the NGO "Green Varosh" Anna Sabadosh said in a comment to the "Uzhgorod City Website".

“The bench was made in Rivne, at an enterprise that has experience in manufacturing such equipment. It cost us less than 20 thousand hryvnias including delivery. Of course, we would like to see more such ideas to be implemented in the city,” – the project participant Iryna Miller said.

The solar bench is very easy to find in the center of the city – it is next to the mini-sculpture of John Lord on the bank of the Uzh. To charge your gadget – be it a phone or a laptop – you just need to have a suitable cable. And while you relax on the bank of the river, solar energy will help you stay connected.
