The Verkhovna Rada has raised the minimum wage in Ukraine to UAH 5,000

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at an extraordinary meeting today, September 25, voted to increase the minimum wage, the TSN informs. 
  
The parliament voted for the presidential bill as a whole. The proposal was supported by 295 deputies. 
The bill provides for an increase in the minimum wage in Ukraine to 5 thousand hryvnias from September 1. At the moment, it is 4,723 hryvnias. 
It should be noted that the macro-forecast approved by the government last week envisages an increase in the minimum wage in 2021 in two stages – up to  6,000 and 6,500 hryvnias.
