A resident of the village of Botar reported about an unknown person near the border. The response team immediately moved to the indicated location and 700 meters to the border found a man with an expired ID card of a Romanian citizen.
During the exchange of information with Romanian colleagues, border guards found out that the 19-year-old foreigner is suspected of committing a murder in Romania.
The issue of handing over the detainee to Romanian law enforcement is currently being decided, the Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment informs.
