Startup competition has started in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

The Startup Competition 2020 started in Transcarpathia on August 3. Apply by September 30 to receive funding for your idea. 
  
Mykhailo Dankanych, director of the RDA "Zakarpattya", told the Varosh about the details of the competition. 
For the second year in a row, RDA "Zakarpattya" is organizing a competition of startups. Last year, the budget was 200,000 hryvnias, which was allocated by the Transcarpathian Regional Council at the initiative of the Department of Economic Development and Trade of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and the Center for Entrepreneurship Support. Last year, 18 startups applied, and six ideas were selected. The winner received 30 thousand hryvnias. 
This year, the budget is bigger – 800 thousand hryvnias. The regional council and the regional administration allocated 500 thousand hryvnias. There is also support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) – 300 thousand hryvnias to the fund for startups. In addition, the Agency finances the project, training for startups, promotional campaign. 
There will be at least eight winners, and each will receive up to 100 thousand hryvnias – depending on the needs.
