During the inspection of a minibus Mercedes, which was entering Ukraine, the border guards noticed the strange behavior of one of the passengers of the vehicle. The 27-year-old man was visibly nervous and looked away during the inspection.
So, they decided to carry out an in-depth inspection. He was asked to produce his personal belongings for inspection. During the search, police found two plastic bags with a white substance similar to methamphetamine and a device for smoking drugs.
The actions of our compatriot constitute an offense under Art. 305 of the Criminal Code "Smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues or precursors or counterfeit drugs."
The incident was reported to the Security Service of Ukraine. After the completion of the relevant procedural measures, the vehicle accompanied by Security Service of Ukraine officers left the checkpoint for further investigation to the city of Uzhgorod, the Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine-Western Border informed.
