Uzhhorod authorities ask the head of the regional state administration to reconsider the decision on the public transportation on weekends and the work of kindergartens

Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv ​​addressed the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov with a request to reconsider the decision of the regional commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies – on public transportation on weekend, the work of kindergartens and swimming pools.

According to the letter, the regional commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies decided to ban regular public transportation on urban and suburban traffic on weekends (Saturday, Sunday) and holidays, as well as operation of swimming pools and kindergartens.

Uzhgorod residents are complaining that they cannot get to work on weekends and holidays in time, that they have nobody to leave their children with when they go to work, that they cannot go swimming in swimming pools. Therefore, the Uzhgorod City Council asks to review the relevant decisions of the regional commission.

It is assumed that swimming pools and preschool educational institutions will be working subject to compliance with the recommendations on the organization of anti-epidemic measures approved by the relevant regulations of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine.
