4 ambulance workers and the driver of a BMW, an employee of the Uzhgorod District State Administration, were injured, Vitaliy Glagola reported.
The accident happened in Uzhgorod today, July 17, around 1 am. Vyacheslav Shpontak reported about it on his Facebook page.
“An ambulance overturned on Sobranetska Street, a BMW ran into the ambulance vehicle. 5 victims, the BMW driver, and 4 medics. All of them were hospitalized with various injuries,” – the post reads.
The entire ambulance crew was injured:
Paramedic: two ankle fractures of the right leg with displacement;
Doctor: concussion, closed traumatic brain injury, contusion of the left half of the chest, blunt trauma to the abdomen;
Orderly: concussion, closed traumatic brain injury;
Ambulance driver: fracture of the 6th and 7th ribs on the left, closed craniocerebral trauma, concussion;
BMW driver: stab fracture of the left thigh.
According to Vitaliy Glagola, the BMW was driven by Serhiy Bentsa, an internal security officer of the State Fiscal Service. He is the son-in-law of Vasyl Bokoch, ex-deputy head of the Traffic Police Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.
