Transcarpathian foresters have tightened fire safety measures. This was announced today at a conference call on the organization of measures to combat fires in natural ecosystems by the Deputy Head of the Transcarpathian Forest and Hunting Range Administration Vasyl Kyi, the press service of the Transcarpathian foresters reported.
Foresters have approved a plan of urgent comprehensive measures for the proper preparation of fire-fighting forces and means for the fire-hazardous period of 2020.
Employees of the State Forest Guard have developed and approved mobilization and operational plans for the elimination of forest fires, conducted inspections of forestry readiness for the fire-hazardous period and formed volunteer fire brigades. In case of fire, foresters of Transcarpathia are ready to engage more than 4,000 workers, 496 units of equipment (cars, tractors, bulldozers).
This year, non-mechanized fire extinguishers were prepared and completed. In all offices of state forestries, there is a round-the-clock duty, firefighters have determined patrol routes for the most fire-hazardous forests and adjacent territories, especially in places of mass recreation of citizens.
The State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine has developed an online map of logging, which is working in a pilot mode and which lets you track forest fires and respond quickly. The map works via satellite.
