Bohdan Andriyiv: for the first time, 15 Uzhgorod residents will be receiving monthly scholarships from the city council (PHOTOS)

Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv ​​met with the best athletes of Uzhgorod, who will be receiving monthly scholarships from the City Council. 
During the meeting, Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv ​​said: 
"Today I met with Uzhgorod athletes who are recipients of the city council scholarships. For the first time, 15 Uzhgorod residents who achieved high results in sports, won prizes at the Olympic Games, championships and cups of Ukraine will be receiving scholarships in amount of UAH 2,000 per month, and next year we plan to increase the number of scholarship recipients and include other sports. 
Although this is a small sum to appreciate their efforts, but even with this small step we want to motivate them to keep doing sports. And we will continue to support athletes, to constantly work on the development of the city’s sports infrastructure, improve sports facilities, make new tracks for everyone to work out," – Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv wrote on Facebook.
