In Hungary, the state of emergency declared due to the coronavirus was lifted

On June 17, Hungarian President János Áder signed the law lifting the state of emergency declared in March in connection with the coronavirus epidemic, the MyHungary.Net reported.

The law was approved by the parliament on Tuesday. "The state of emergency is over, but until a vaccine is developed, some measures will have to remain in place", – the head of Prime Minister’s Office Gergely Gulyás said. At its meeting on Wednesday, the government decided to cancel the "shopping hour" for retirees. Mask wearing in shops and public transport for all citizens, as well as for restaurant workers, will remain mandatory.
