A man with drugs and weapons was detained in Transcarpathia (PHOTOS)

A few days ago, in the evening, law enforcement officers detained a suspicious car, the license plate of which was declared stolen. During a search of the car, police found transparent bags with psychotropic substances and a nonlethal pistol. 
The incident occurred in Beregovo in the evening of June 13. Patrol police officers spotted the suspicious vehicle and stopped it. 
Patrol policemen immediately noticed that the license plate of the car "Ford" was the same as the number that was stolen recently.
The driver of the car stopped by the police was a 44-year-old resident of Kyiv. During the check of the documents, the man could not answer where he got the license plate. 
During the search of the interior of the Ford, policemen found clear plastic bags with a white crystalline substance that looked like a psychotropic substance, plastic drug flasks that contained a powdery substance, and an object that looked like a nonlethal pistol with three rounds of ammunition. The seized items were sent to experts for examination. In addition, the car was taken to the impound lot of the local police department. 
Investigators of the Beregovo Police Department opened a criminal case over possession of drugs under Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the case and the origin of the license plate on the driver’s car, as well as the origin and purpose of possession of drugs and weapons.
