In Transcarpathia, the police found a group of people who were staying illegally on the territory of Ukraine

Five foreigners, who were staying in Transcarpathia with overdue documents, were taken by the police and border guards to the migration service to make the relevant administrative reports. The purpose of the Vietnamese citizens’ stay in Transcarpathia is being established
On June 10 at about 3:30 pm, officers of the Transcarpathian Police Department for Combating Crimes Related to Trafficking in Human Beings together with inspectors of the Volovets Patrol Police Response Sector and with the assistance of border guards found 5 citizens of Vietnam near the village of Kotelnytsia in Volovets district on the side of the Kyiv-Chop highway. During the investigation of the circumstances of their stay in Ukraine, law enforcement officers found out that the persons had no legal grounds for this.
Three men and two women, aged 23 to 25, were moving from the M-08 highway towards the village of Kotelnytsia. They could not explain the reason for their being there, as they did not speak either English or Ukrainian. The foreigners had IDs, but the term of their stay in Ukraine was overdue. In this regard, the citizens were taken to the Volovets police station.
During the questioning of the citizens, it was established that they were going from the city of Odesa and intended to get to Kyiv.
All the above-mentioned citizens were handed over to the employees of the Volovets district department of the State Migration Service for making of the relevant administrative reports.
