Major repair of the green zone on Sandor Petofi Square has begun. According to the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture of the City Council, the project was reviewed by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine (letter of 04.06.2019 № 03-06 / 373), and was approved by the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration (letter of 19.05.2020 № 01-12 / 532) with recommendations and remarks of the members of the Advisory Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage at the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. Existing greenery – trees and shrubs – will be preserved, earthworks will be carried out under the mandatory supervision of an archaeologist.
The project "Major repair of the green zone on Petofi Square in Uzhgorod" passed the examination, received permission to work and notification № ZK061201420289 dd. 21.05.2020 on the commencement of construction work on the site.
Major repair involves the replacement of existing pavement, installation of new trash bins, benches, lamps, bicycle parking, restoration of fencing.
